France's Top 5 Card Battler Apps in Q1 2021: A Sensor Tower Report

As the first quarter of 2021 came to a close, fans of card battler games in France remained actively engaged with their favorite titles. Sensor Tower's comprehensive data provides a snapshot of how the top five card battler applications fared on the unified platform, combining insights from both iOS and Android users.

Mighty Party: Battle Heroes from Panoramik Games saw a significant surge in revenue, ending March with around $64K, up from $40K at the beginning of the year. Downloads followed an upward trend as well, jumping from 17K to over 40K, while weekly active users nearly doubled from 48K to an impressive 98K.

KONAMI's Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links experienced fluctuations in revenue, peaking at $60K in mid-January and then settling around $40K by the end of March. The game's downloads saw a peak of 11K in late January, and weekly active users reached their zenith at 91K, maintaining a strong user base throughout the quarter.

Legends of Runeterra by Riot Games, despite being one of the newer entrants, showed a mixed performance with revenue peaking at $12K in early March. Downloads saw a significant boost in the same period, rising from a few thousand at the start of the quarter to over 5K by the end. Active users saw a modest increase, ending the quarter at 32K.

Blizzard Entertainment's Hearthstone generated the most revenue among the group, with a notable spike to $101K in the last week of March. The game's downloads and weekly active users also saw growth, with downloads climbing to over 4K and active users reaching nearly 70K by quarter's end.

Lastly, Pokémon TCG Online from THE POKEMON COMPANY INTERNATIONAL, INC., while not generating significant revenue, did see an increase in both downloads and active users. Downloads more than doubled to over 3K, and active users grew to over 6K in the final week of March.
